January Luncheon featuring Courtney Misener

This session is an overview of emotional health in the workplace. We briefly touch on boundaries and

communication styles. This session looks at common behaviors that happen within teams that creates

emotional waste (gossip, lack of buy-in, distrust, etc). 

About Courtney:

Courtney Misener is a professional speaker and writer.  An advocate of emotional health and helping individuals

find their voice, Courtney provides tools to identify and. tackle pitfalls that lead to emotional unrest.

Courtney previously served as the Director of Programs at House of Hope, a non-profit in Cedar Rapids, Iowa

that provides housing, therapy, and classes for women.  While at House of Hope, she developed and taught a

curriculum that empowers individuals on a path towards  emotional health and freedom.  After studying Communications at Middle Tennessee State University, she worked in the non-profit sector

for four years prior to joining House of Hope. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Developmental

Psychology.  

A southern girl at heart, her vulnerability and honest teachings make the audience feel like they have

entered into a conversation with a friend that almost always includes a dance party.  Courtney is an Iowan by marriage, transplanted from  Tennessee. She is a rock star/pastor’s wife, serves as the family CEO, and head negotiator for their three very. spunky boys.
